My way is the Hard Way!!!!

Two kinds of men: one-happy go lucky!!! two- everything comes with hardships. I fall into the category-TWO.
Life has never been easy. The graph has never been a smooth curve. In a way, every moment is harsher than the previous one.
The dates will be remembered. Etched in the memories forever. God Knows where do i go from here. I have no idea of how things are going to turn up in next few days. Missed out on a life time opportunity. Don't know what else are going to be missed.
Good Night.

India vs Aus-5th ODI (Utter Disappointment)

Here's my quick review...
Sachin:: d unfortunate hero who is beheaded by his own fellow men evry tym he tries 2 knock out d opponent.
Sehwag:: A crazy mad bull.
Gautam:: Gambhir indeed..... (Silence personified)
Yuvraj:: An overdose of Revital (jeeyo jee bhar ke) wasnt enuf 4 him.
Dhoni:: He has a habit of failing when Sachin goes on n on n on. He is much bettr wid Cello Pinpoint than A WILLOW.

Raina:: only loyalist 2 d King.. Awesum.. he did his bit..

Jadeja:: height f stupidity in absence of the King.
Bhajji:: He has taken batting too seriously.
Praveen:: True Gladiator
Munaf:: A wild goose left loose!!!

Special mention of Ashish Nehra:: he always has a guest appearance.. runs like he holds d time.. How in this world its possible dat a Cricketer doesnt even know 2 hold a bat properly??? Come' on Man.. u dont belong there...
Special thanx to Australia that they ceased to become a mute spectator to Tendulkar's Charisma and hit India hard as soon as he was gone!!! Bravo!!!

Happy Bday Ambi a.k.a. Keshav

My Beloved Bro-- Ambikesh

tHE wEekS tHOsE wErE...

At first, a very happy Birthday to my bro Ambikesh. He is my soul. May God help him to accomplish all his noble wishes. God bless this innocent child. Happy Bday bhai!!!

Coming to the header I put above...........
Yeah!!! the past few weeks have been very very eventful for me as a person, and also for the college as a whole.

After a few hiccups my project is back on track. The team had a presentation before a panel of experts from KMC(Kasturba Medical College), MIT and Manipal University(23rd Oct.). The venue was actually conference room of EDU buildings but we by mistake went to the Innovation Centre.. it wasnt too late when we realized our mistake and hurried to the EDU buildings. Positive vibes from the experts. They are really interested in supporting us financially and technically with this project. Work is underway. Lets see what happens.
Secondly, the chemical dept of MIT is again in news for the absurd Teachers as well as students. Everything is in the hands of God now. We can call it a perfect Jungle Raj. The labour and efforts of the students to score in the last sessionals were nullified by some morons who edited their answer scripts while the Teacher was distributing the same. It was done right in the class... and it was a shock to students like us who put all their efforts to score honestly. The Teacher had not much to do after it went to his ears coz, u cant really prove that the students had done that, thanks to the teacher himself that he was distributing half checked copies in the class.
But everyone has got his share of good and bad days. When the good days are over, any one can be badly screwed. The same happened here when someone had the proof in form of photo clicks. Smart Work!!!... The unscrupulous students are in serious trouble now.
Last but not the least... the Teacher cited above is in serious trouble due to the allegations put by the students. I shall write about it sometime later because its too delicate issue to right anything about it right now.

The practical end semester start from Monday. and the end sems as far as I know from 13/14 Nov.
Tonight is a Halloween night. Have a scary Halloween night.

Carnival ends.... Day 5

Well!!! The fest is over.
Last day of Techtatva-12th September 2009.( Could not write on 12th due to net connection issue) A closing ceremony I would remember all my life. A DJ night after that..I won't dance so long any time soon. This Techtatva has been able to maintain the legacy. An impulse of Joy for the college.
Talking about Aavishkaar, the 2nd phase of the model display was over on this day. The results were announced at Closing Ceremony. Team 215 and 214 stood 1st and 2nd respectively. Mr. Varun Bhaskar's Dad was the Chief Guest for the closing in ceremony. He announced the name of the winners.
All the speeches were good;especially Mr. Varun's and his Dad's but the address which stole the show was that of Mr. Animesh Thakur. Words filled with wit and utter sense of humour came out spontaneously. He was in best of his forms.
Will write in detail some other time.. for now.. thank you Student Council for all your support, thank you Team Aavishkaar for making the event one of the most successful events of Techtatva'09.
We hope we lived upto every one's expectation.

11th Sept.

This Day in history holds an important place......

11th Sept. 1893: The greatest ambassador India ever had: Swami Vivekananda marked his presence before the world. He had his first speech at World's Parliament of Religions which shook the world thereafter.

11th Sept. 2001: The greatest attack on humanity. World Trade Center and Pentagon attacks. Hundreds of lives lost.. how can we forget..??

May Peace Prevail

Day 4: The BIG Day for Aavishkaar...

The BIG Day for Aavishkaar... Model display round... Teams and their models were put to
extreme tests with Judges questioning the very basics of Students. ....and yes.. to add to their awe.... the general visitors asked questions with more severity than the Judges.
In all, there were 6 teams with the models of bridge and yes all of them worked... I told you Judges are going to have a tough time... Floating one, Double Decker, Arch Design....London bridge.. there were all.... Teams had their demonstrations but I was having goosebumps instead of them.
Aavishkaar was the Saviour of the day for Techtatva. Almost all the events are into their 2nd or 3rd rounds now.. So, it was Aavishkaar which could pull off the crowd and maintain the hustle bustle of Techtatva. The flagship event has already got 4 stars of 5 from the Ed-Board of MIT..
Have just arrived at my room after giving an interview to the Ed-Board. Team Aavishkaar had an interview with Ed Board.
The next part of final round is tomorrow. Next half teams will be displaying their models tomorrow. Hoping for some scintillating experience...
Apart from Aavishkaar.. today, there was another big event--Junkyard Wars.. This was the first time, I could not participate in it.. Can anybody give an update about it. How was the turn up and what was the problem statement??

Apart from this, what I could see were some deserted infodesks, relaxing organizers, and Techtatva turning into a semi-Music Festival... (Did you ask why?) Playing songs at a volume where wannabe DJs could not even listen what they (themselves) were thinking.. Can You Ask For More???

Good Night Bhai Log...Kal dekhte hain...

Day 3

Tired like hell..... Hi Everyone .I am back to the comforts of my room. The day started off early. Went to college at around 11.45 AM.Aaviskaar had an off day ..... wait wait wait!!!!! It was only for the participating teams ..we, the organizers had one of the most consumed days.
Final Showdown--tomorrow... Preparations were done in NLH-104 today. We wanted to make sure everything go as planned. The teams have been messaged and mailed intimating their time for MODEL DISPLAY round.

Another poster has gone in print. Designed by Tanay. I am really lucky on Organizers aspect. The whole team is very dedicated.. Lets see, what happens tomorrow. Wish me all the best..
The coordinators had dance session on 90s songs played by the organizers at NLH outdoors near Informals Desk including Abhijeet Bhaiya and Shreyas Bhaiya. All had fun watching them.
They had fun..........but I am TIRED ... I m dead...err!!! goin to be dead!!! Good Night

The 2nd Day...

Hi Everyone..

It would not be a hyperbole if I say that the 2nd day was much more thrilling and happening than the 1st day.
The enthusiasm of the organizers was on display throughout the day. Whole Techtatva team is working as if there is no tomorrow. Meanwhile I have some "Who-Is-Who" pics of Day 1 and 2 which I shall upload soon.
The 1st version of Text Tatva is out today. Very good creativity skills. Kudos to the whole Ed-Board.
Talking about Aavishkaar, 2nd day saw some special and unique designs. The presentation skills had a tough time dealing with the Questions by the Judges and the students. We finished the 2nd round on Day 2 with last 16 getting over with their presentation. The real test comes on 11th where models will be displayed, criticized, applauded, heckled and the wildness of the Royal Rumble shall come out with all its colors. All are invited to experience the phenomenon.

Now talking about some people in the Team Techtatva-- Animesh Thakur(Tech Sec n chairman f Techtatva)-4th year guy. Procured placements well before Techtatva. You can see his moods swinging all day long. :) Our lunch on 1st day was sponsored by him. A real 'thinking right from the heart'kind of person. To his credit, he can come with a volunteer and work with him as well. Never seen a Tech-Sec lifting chairs and helping staffs to set up speakers boxes. You are going great Sir jee...

Varun Bhaskar: I have been working in Techtatva team from the very 1st year of my inception in MIT. Right from volunteering to being the category head of Aavishkaar today, I have never seen such an involvement of the President of Student Council in Techtatva or Revels.Off late, the President had become just a hand for signatures on the certificates. But this time around, this has been redefined and the President, Mr. Varun Bhaskar(4th yr-Chemical), is one of the main pillars of TechTatva. Yeah.. you got it right.. he brought the sponsorship from MRPL..

More about others, in the next post.. I have to start gearing for the 3rd day. Till then wait... n watch...

The 1st Day ...

The day finally arrived and about to go. It was the first day of TechTatva and the participation has been beyond expectations till now. Record 2000 registrations on the first day itself has taken all the organizers by surprise.

The first phase of 2nd round is over for Aavishkaar. 32 teams have moved to the 2nd round out of which 16 had their presentation on the first day. The next 16 will fight it out 2moro ,i.e the 2nd day of TechTatva.
There were many outstanding ideas and I am sure the Judges are going to have a tough time judging them. The competition gets tougher on the model presentation day. Everything started off as per schedule and we were able to finish before time.
It was pure display of sheer talent and potential of the Engineering Students of India.
The Q-A session was enlightening as well as the teams tried their best to choke out the opponents.
We are hoping a wilder fight on the 2nd day. Lets see who survives and who falls.....

Aavishkaar..!!

I am really glad to be a part of d Aavishkaar team.
let me introduce myself...i m d very person...whom abhi jha dint mention.
yeah...its d EvenT HeaD of Aavishkaar-"VIDIT MALHOTRA"

Welcome guys to this MIT diary...a nice place to update your day 2 day experiences.
Tech fest of manipal-TECHTATVA's biggest event-Aavishkaar is bein luked aftr by d Category Head-Abhishek jha, then me..nd 6 organisers as been mentioned b4.

In My next post..i m gonna tell u ppl abt our collg. MIT.

Till then hav fun.. ;)

Taste of Success

Indeed!!!

The taste of success is the sweetest of all. To tell u all, we have got overwhelming response from the students of MIT. We have got a record number of entries for the prelims considering the complexity of the problem statement of Aavishkaar.

The credit goes to all my organisers and the Event Head who left no stone unturned to ensure the success of this event. Moreover, things have become better in the team. Tanay is more mature now in terms of thought and decision making n is trying his best to live up to my expectations.

The real work starts now. Sitting in the Group Study Hall right now. If things go as per our plan, results of abstract round will be out by evening.

Fingers crossed.

Team Aavishkaar

Place: Textbook Section[TBS],MIT

Its was important for me to talk about the team working with me for Aavishkaar.

The team consists of some of the brightest students of MIT,Manipal. It mainly consists of the people who were selected to the Akshay Urja CLub,Nodal Committee(an initiative by me when i was associated with the club) but they are no longer an important part of it.
Let me introduce all of them one by one...

Vaibhav: The guy who stood out in the crowd even when he was in the club. A 2nd yr Mechatronics guy who is always successful in impressing all when it came to intensity at work.
He is the main pillar of the Team Aavishkaar and has way to go.....

Abhishek: The boy who has the same name as mine. He will do whatever you tell him but not before he himself is convinced by it and gathers the energy to do it. The person who is hard working and faces my wrath most of the times but I hope he is mature enough to understand the situation. A very bad habit of procrastinating but eventually does it and does it well. Good luck boy.

Shruti Farmania: She was the one of the 3 girls selected for the Akshay Urja Club Committee. I knew that she had the maximum potential of the lot. She had the desire to work but I was not very much impressed by her effort when I was in the club. This time I called her up for Aavishkaar and she is a completely changed girl. A lot more dedicated and at the same time willing to work in any situation. I am happy for her and wish her all the best as we progress to Techtatva.

Siddharth: He is called "chhotu" by the Event Head Vidit. He looks too young to be in college but has a sharp mind. I remember, he was the person to raise a question on one of the questions of Nodal Committee formation written test. Although the doubt was not proved right but I was impressed by his courage to stand up and question us.He is doing great work(had to leave one day LED workshop for me;he is an organizer there) but I have one complaint:: why do you always pick up up the phone only when Shruti calls u?? Yes, I need to call him through Shruti. Shruti!!! Beware!!!

Aditya: Another genius. Qualified for the final round of the F1 racing car team from Manipal and awaiting its result. May he be successful. A lot of dedication and a very humble guy. He can win you merely by his talking accent. He is very well discharging his duties and I am proud t have him as a team member.

Tanay: He is the guy behind the poster of Aavishkaar which won him huge appreciation in the college. He is one guy whom you will keep 99 out of 100 times in your team. But this time, I am a bit disappointed with him. He has taken multiple work loads and he is crushing himself with it.I expect full dedication from a team member ...and Tanay..don't mind but you are a little far from the par boundary. I hope you rectify things as soon as possible and live up to my expectations. I am proud of you for the poster you designed but I expect same level of dedication from you every time you work with me.

I wish all the people best of luck in the future and yes.... comrades..way to go..coz. d real thing starts from 8th......
About the Event Head Vidit, I shall tell you some time later. People mentioned above-- your feedback about me is most welcome... good bye..

Aavishkaar Publicity

Another hectic day comes to a near end as i sit down to pen down my experience. The publicity of Aavishkaar started well before the sessional. 2 days of info desks before it.
After the sessionals,we started the extensive publicity from 24th Aug and we are continuing the info desks at KC and newly built MIT foodcourt.
The team is doing a commendable job. Some organizers have multiple workloads at a time and hence are little confused.
Called a meeting yesterday and cleared everything to them. They are more confident now. These people are learning through the process and i am glad to see this. May our event be major hit this TechTatva.
The team consists of Vidit(Event Head)
Vaibhav Gupta(Organizer)
Abhishek(Organizer)
Siddarth Garg(Organizer)
Shruti Farmaniya(Organizer)
Aditya Shankar(Organizer)
Tanay Pratap(Organizer)
..........and me.

Vaibhav stands out every time and never ceases to surprise every one with his dedication.. More about others in the next post.. Till the, Good bye and Good Night.

TechTatva fever

Hurray!!! the sessionals are over and again the Procrastination theory has come into effect.
Long list of pending works but the devil's conscience is preventing me from even pursuing a single one.
Meanwhile the Techtatva fever is on and the real work begins now. The publicity arrangements suck this time. I have not a situation more worsened than this TechTatva. The interference of the faculty has ruined everything. They neither do any thing nor let you do anything.

The situation is pretty similar to that of the BJP. Every next decision turns out to be wrong. Since I mentioned BJP, let's have a talk on that. The recent expulsion of Mr. Jaswant Singh is destined to spell doom on the party. Ouster of such a person who is trusted all over the nation has dented the credibility of the party. Mr. Jaswant Singh has not mentioned the name of BJP as the Author's name, its his book, his personal view,so why so much hustle inside the party. This is utter non-sense on display by the BJP. Its really sad.
Coming back to Techtatva, something extraordinary needs to be done. Serious and productive thinking is what we require.
The post comes on Ganesh Chaturthi. Happy Ganesh Chaturthi to all. God bless.

the joy of class bunking...

continuous classes were taking a heavy toll and we decided to bunk the last hour of Mr. Acharya. We include Vidit, Saurav and me. Joshi backed out pertaining to some ethical restraints....!!!
MIT Cafeteria, for a cup of tea. Then tried hands on some sort of mischief.
Be it removing Rohit's bicycle from usual place in an attempt to hide it(oops a faculty saw us ,we had to run!!!) or shouting Joshi's name from west side of the class, it was pure fun.
Then, the search started for Mr. Dharmendra(Doberman), who worked in our movie Dosti, yari etc. Each and every guard had to answer our weird questions..and then comes the Shiva store's anna.. asking him for 'Gaanja' and the cane sugar guy for 'Playstation'.

Total masti.. has been etched in memory forever...

11.30 class cancelled. class from 3pm. Some work related to Techtatva.

Timings of classes clash. The Director has not given any permission for free attendance for this Techtatva. Only 10% relaxation. Can be tricky sometimes....

Techtatva

Techtatva is scheduled for September, this year..

No website yet... Whats the matter with the management????
Rains are back...
Its pouring hard.. Hard to walk on the roads these days.. Umbrellas are useless.. And the sad thing is that we have classes till 7.. It keeps raining while we try to stay awake in the class dreaming of getting skinny wet in the rain.. I miss the old days when I was free to go out in the rains, enjoying myself .. with no to-do lists in my room.. with no assignments .. ME only with myself..

Better late than never....

2 years have gone since I came here... this blog should have come earlier but its always better to be late than never.

We are going to recount our experience here, and share what we have yet to experience...

Good luck...
